HOTEL CANAL SALIERI, Venice

This canal-side property sits in a quieter, less touristy pocket of Venice, just five minutes on foot from Piazzale Roma (bus and vaporetto hub) and six to nine minutes from Santa Lucia train station. The central San Marco area is a twenty-minute walk. The immediate streets offer a good selection of bars, pizza takeaways, and a gelateria, all within 300 metres. The location is especially practical for travellers arriving by bus or train with luggage. Near the canal, the area has its own character and is considered safe at all hours.

The hotel does not operate its own restaurant or provide a breakfast buffet. There is a café directly below the property where guests can purchase coffee and pastries in the morning. Several bars, pizzerias, and trattorias serving Venetian and Italian cuisine are within a three-minute walk, offering a range from affordable takeaway slices to sit-down meals. For self-catering, the room includes an electric kettle; guests may wish to bring their own tea or coffee supplies.

Wellness and leisure facilities are not part of this hotel. The primary recreational activity available from the property is exploring the canals by boat, which can be accessed from nearby vaporetto stops or gondola stations within walking distance. For on-site relaxation, guests use the room's own balcony or window seating to enjoy the canal or courtyard views. No pool, spa, gym, or organised entertainment is provided.

Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the building, though coverage can be inconsistent in some rooms. Luggage storage is offered at no extra cost before check-in and after checkout, which is especially useful for late flights. Daily housekeeping is not automatic; guests must request it in advance. The property provides express and private check-in/check-out, and an invoice for the stay. Safety features include CCTV in common areas, fire extinguishers, a security alarm, and smoke alarms. No parking is available on site. Pets are allowed with possible extra charges.
