Santa Lucia train station is a comfortable 7-minute walk along a direct route with just one bridge. The location is practical for exploring on foot - St. Mark's Square is a 20-minute walk, Rialto Bridge is 10 minutes - and offers a quieter, more local atmosphere than the tourist core, while still being close to all major sights.
