HOTEL CATHRINE, Rome

The hotel occupies a floor in a residential building with a coded entrance; the immediate street has several restaurants, bars and groceries within 0.5 km. Termini provides direct metro (lines A and B), regional trains and buses to all main sights, including the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Vatican. Bus 492 stops right outside, and bus 60 is around the corner, making car-free movement practical. Major sights are within a 20-40-minute walk. The location is well-suited to solo travellers and those arriving by train, with no need for a car (no parking on site). The area is safe and well connected, though the building entrance is functional rather than grand.

Rooms are simply furnished with a private bathroom, flat-screen TV, heating, air conditioning and free toiletries. Some rooms include a shower that does not have a fixed door or separate showerhead, which can wet the bathroom floor. Room size varies: single rooms are compact but functional, larger rooms are spacious enough for two people. Some rooms feature parquet flooring. The building's older construction means internal walls can be thin, but well-sealed windows reduce street noise effectively. No rooms have a balcony. An iron and ironing board are available from reception. There is no in-room fridge or kettle, but a shared coffee machine and hot water are available in the lobby 24/7. Rooms are cleaned daily; towels can be replaced on request or during daily servicing.
