HOTEL ARTORIUS, Rome

The hotel sits on Via del Boschetto, a cobbled street lined with restaurants and shops. Monti is one of Rome's oldest neighbourhoods, known for its vibrant atmosphere and proximity to ancient sites. Within a 15-minute walk you can reach Termini Station, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps. The Cavour metro stop (line B) is 500 metres away, providing quick access to Circus Maximus (2 stops), Testaccio nightlife (3 stops), and Basilica of St Paul (5 stops). For airport transfers, take the Terravision shuttle (€6) or train from Fiumicino to Termini, then a short taxi or metro ride. The area is exceptionally walkable, with supermarkets, cafés, and trattorias just steps from the hotel.

The hotel does not offer breakfast, but guests can enjoy a drink at the hotel bar or on the terrace. The Monti neighbourhood is known for its excellent dining, with restaurants such as Trattoria al 19, Le Tavernelle, and Il Girasole all within a few steps. A supermarket is located directly across the street, and a typical Italian café 20 metres away serves pastries and coffee in the morning. For evening meals, the area offers a wide range of cuisines from traditional Roman to modern, many within a short stroll from the hotel. Staff can also provide recommendations and assist with restaurant bookings.

The hotel provides a range of practical services: free Wi-Fi is available throughout (though reliability varies by room), daily housekeeping keeps rooms tidy, and luggage storage is free until 8pm on checkout day. A paid airport shuttle can be arranged (€60-80 depending on group size). The bar on site serves drinks and snacks, and the terrace is a quiet space for relaxation. The lift (historic cage elevator) provides access to upper floors. Safety deposit boxes are free in rooms. 24-hour security includes CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, and key access. Additional services include wake-up calls, fax/photocopying (fee), and assistance with booking tours, theatre, or transport. Reception is not staffed 24/7, but staff are reachable via WhatsApp for urgent needs.
