HOTEL EXCELLENT, Prague

The hotel sits in the quiet Kobylisy residential area, with a tram stop (line 17) directly in front and the Kobylisy metro station a 5-minute walk away. This combination provides quick access to the city centre: about 10 minutes by metro or 20 minutes by tram without transfers. The immediate area offers several restaurants serving Czech, Chinese, and seafood cuisine within 50-500 metres. A tennis park with four courts is right next door. For those driving, secured on-site parking is available but must be reserved. The hotel's suburban setting means a slightly longer journey to central attractions, but the frequent, direct public transport makes the trip straightforward and the neighbourhood stays peaceful.

Rooms are decorated in warm tones with stylish furniture and antique details, all featuring a Smart TV, work desk, hairdryer, minibar, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Standard double rooms have a private bathroom with shower, while larger comfort rooms and apartments add a separate living area and, in some cases, a kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, and microwave. The luxury suite includes a canopy bed, a fireplace, a spa bath, and an infra sauna. Most rooms are carpeted and some offer garden or quiet street views. Rooms facing the street may experience some tram noise, so light sleepers should request a garden or courtyard-facing room. Storage space is ample and the overall feel is clean, comfortable, and practical, with a slightly old-fashioned charm. Air conditioning is available only in select rooms and for a surcharge. Extra beds are available on request but not in every room type. Note that the hotel has no lift and the ground floor is above street level, requiring stair use.

Breakfast is a buffet served each morning in the hotel lounge, offering bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruit, eggs, and cereal. It is considered sufficient and good value for the price. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar for lunch or dinner. However, four restaurants serving Czech, Chinese, and seafood are within 50 metres of the hotel, and many more dining options are within a 5-minute walk. In-room breakfast can be requested for an additional charge. For evening drinks, the nearest bar is 500 metres away.

A spa lounge and relaxation area is available on site for guest use. The hotel also offers a garden with outdoor furniture and a picnic area. For active leisure, the adjacent tennis park features four courts. The surrounding area is suitable for cycling and hiking, and walking tours can be arranged for an additional charge. Note that there is no swimming pool, no full spa centre, and no gym on the property. The hotel's location in a quiet residential area makes it a good base for outdoor activities without the bustle of central Prague.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the property free of charge. Services include a 24-hour front desk (though hours are 08:00-20:00), free luggage storage, a tour desk, private check-in/check-out, laundry service (for a fee), and a barber/beauty shop. The hotel provides a safety deposit box at no extra cost. Parking is private, secured, and on site, but must be reserved in advance and costs €8 per day. Public transport tickets can be purchased at reception. No airport shuttle is available. Accessibility: there is no lift, so stair climbing is required - the ground floor is above street level and not wheelchair-friendly. Family rooms and cots are available. The hotel also offers a welcome drink and a picnic area.
