HOTEL LAZZARI, Rome

The hotel sits within a residential building in a central but less polished area near Termini. The metro station on line B connects directly to the Colosseum in about 10 minutes, while Termini offers train and bus links across the city and to both airports. Most major attractions, including the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, are within a 20-30 minute walk or a short metro ride. Numerous restaurants, cafés, and shops are within a few minutes' walk, making dining convenient. The immediate area around the station can feel less comfortable after dark, but the street itself is generally safe and well-lit. For airport transfers, taking the train from Termini is more practical than relying on a local bus because the hotel does not offer a shuttle.

The breakfast voucher covers a simple Italian-style breakfast - typically a coffee and a pastry - served at a bar located in the same building. For guests who prefer a more substantial morning meal or a seated breakfast, the surrounding area has several cafés and restaurants within a short walk. The hotel does not operate its own restaurant or bar, and there are no in-room kitchen facilities or kettles. For evening meals, numerous dining options are within 300-500 metres, covering Italian, wine bars, and international cuisines. The lack of on-site dining means guests should plan meals independently, but the location makes this straightforward.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and generally reliable. Daily housekeeping includes room cleaning and replacement of towels and toiletries. Luggage storage is offered free of charge both before check-in and after check-out, which is convenient for early arrivals or late departures. The building has a small, vintage lift that serves all floors, though it can be temperamental if the door is left open. There is no 24-hour reception - after midnight there is no staff on site. Key access to the building and room requires three separate keys (street door, corridor, room). Safe-deposit boxes are available. An iron can be borrowed from reception. Fax/photocopying is available on request. No on-site laundry or kitchen is provided. The hotel does not have a restaurant, spa, swimming pool, or gym.
