HOTEL LA CORTE PORTA NUOVA, Turin

The hotel is set on a quiet street in central Turin, just a 5-minute walk from Re Umberto metro station and 300 metres from Porta Nuova train station and the airport bus terminal. The historic centre, shopping streets (Via Roma, Piazza Castello) and main cultural sights are within a 10-20 minute walk or a short tram/bus ride. Several restaurants, cafés and a supermarket are within a minute's walk. The immediate neighbourhood near the station is practical but less polished; the hotel is well placed for car-free city exploration.

All rooms have a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. Room features include air conditioning (note: centrally limited to 26-27°C), heating, a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, trouser press, parquet flooring and a flat-screen TV. Rooms are generally clean and functional but compact - some are very small (approx. 13 m2) and storage space is limited, which suits short stays better than lengthy ones. Noise insulation between rooms and from the street/hallway is weak, so light sleepers will benefit from requesting a courtyard-facing room on the upper floor. Ground-floor rooms often have windows that are locked or cannot be opened. Some rooms have a small balcony. The property has no lift and rooms are on the first and second floors; reception staff can assist with luggage.

Breakfast is a continental buffet with bread, pastries, cakes, yoghurt, cheese spread, fresh fruit, cold cuts, juice and hot drinks from a machine. It is available at an additional cost of €9 per person per day; rates with breakfast included can be selected during booking. The breakfast room is in the basement, accessible only by a spiral staircase, and is small. The buffet is generally considered decent value for the price, though variety is limited and only cold items are offered. There is no restaurant or bar on site; nearby cafés and restaurants (within a 2-minute walk) provide alternatives for lunch and dinner. In-room breakfast can be ordered.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms, a 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff, and free luggage storage for before check-in or after check-out. Daily housekeeping and a trouser press are complimentary. A safety deposit box, express check-in/out, and concierge service are available. Private parking on the street in front of the hotel costs €15 per day and must be reserved in advance (only 4 spots; cancellation free up to 48 hours before arrival).
