Hotel Details

Location

The hostel sits in Seattle's International District, a block from the light rail and a five-minute walk from King Street Station.
The location is ideal for car-free travel: one minute from International District Station (Link Light Rail), under five minutes from King Street Station (Amtrak, Sounder), and a ten-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Pike Place Market and Seattle Aquarium are a 15-minute walk away. Lumen Field and WaMu Theater are a ten-minute walk. The immediate area includes a dense Asian food scene with dumpling houses, bakeries, and a major grocery store (Uwajimaya) one block away. The neighbourhood is lively at night; some street noise is typical, and the area has a visible homeless population. Earplugs are available at reception.

Accommodation

The hostel offers shared dormitory rooms and private rooms, some with private bathrooms and some with shared facilities.
Dormitory rooms have bunk beds with lockers for each bed (bring your own lock or rent one for $3). Private rooms with a private bathroom are available, as are private rooms with a shared bathroom. Each private room includes a desk, a chair, a sink, and a mirror. All rooms have heating and carpeted floors. Windows are single-glazed and can be opened, but some may not close fully or may lack screens, which can allow outside noise and insects inside. No rooms have air conditioning, only small fans. Several rooms contain internal plumbing pipes that can make loud banging or pressure noises at unpredictable times. The building is older, and conditions can vary: some rooms feel clean and tidy, while others may have a musty smell, worn furniture, or wobbly bunks. Mattresses are comfortable for budget accommodation but may show signs of use. Road-facing rooms on the second floor receive the most street noise.

Dining

A free continental breakfast is served from 8am to 10am, and the area offers a wide range of dining options just outside the door.
The complimentary breakfast includes granola bars, oatmeal, instant coffee, tea, fresh fruit (bananas, oranges), bagels with spreads (cream cheese, jam, peanut butter), and boiled eggs. Breakfast is available in the communal dining area. The hostel does not have a restaurant, but the International District provides an abundance of Asian cuisine within a few blocks: dumpling houses, bakeries (Fuji Bakery is on the same block), and the Uwajimaya food hall one block away. There is also a vending machine with drinks and snacks in the building. The 24-hour shared kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering.

Wellness & Leisure

The hostel provides a TV lounge, board games, a games room, and a shared lounge area for socialising and relaxing.
The property does not have a pool, spa, sauna, or gym. For leisure, there is a lounge with a TV and board games, a separate games room, and a large communal kitchen/dining area that serves as a social hub. The hostel also offers a small selection of light weights and exercise mats in one of the common rooms. The surrounding International District is walkable to attractions like Lumen Field, T-Mobile Park, and the waterfront.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, laundry, and a shared kitchen are available. No parking is on site.
Wi-Fi is free in all areas and generally reliable. Luggage storage before check-in and after check-out is free until 1pm; after 1pm, storage costs $5 for two bags until 11pm. Laundry is available 24/7: $2 to wash and $2 to dry using debit/credit cards. The 24-hour shared kitchen is well-equipped and includes a dining area. The front desk can provide a special code for a private parking lot directly across the street (IPM), costing $28 for 24 hours via the Pay by Phone app. There is an elevator, and the building is accessible with ADA-compliant bathroom stalls and showers. Security features include key card access, CCTV in common areas, and smoke alarms. The hostel accepts cash, American Express, Visa, JCB, Discover, and MasterCard. Housekeeping cleans daily, and bed linen and towels are provided.

Top Strategic Tips

  • 01

Use the Link Light Rail from SeaTac Airport; exit at International District Station, just a one-minute walk from the hostel.

  • 02

Book a private room if you need a guaranteed single space, as dorm rooms are shared unless you reserve all beds.

  • 03

Factor in the neighbourhood's urban density: light sleepers can request earplugs from the front desk.

  • 04

Arrive with cash or a card for the $5 luggage storage fee after 1pm on check-out day.
