The Baroness Hotel sits at the top of a hill on First Hill, directly across from Virginia Mason Medical Center and within 3-4 blocks of the Swedish campus. Downtown Seattle is about 1 km downhill - a roughly 10-minute walk along major bus routes. The Washington State Convention Center is 750 metres away, and Pike Place Market is under 2 km. The University Street Link Light Rail station is a 12-minute uphill walk; taxis or ride shares are recommended for reaching King Street Station (2 km). SeaTac Airport is 25 minutes by car, and cruise terminals are 4.0 to 7 km away. Public parking is available in nearby lots on the medical campus, but no on-site parking exists. The neighbourhood is quiet for a city centre, with several restaurants and a café just around the corner.

Rooms at The Baroness Hotel are generously sized, as the building was originally an apartment block. Each unit includes a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine; the stoves are non-functional. No air conditioning is available, but portable fans are supplied. Single-pane windows open for ventilation but let in street noise, so rooms facing the road can be less quiet. Private bathrooms are standard, though some are compact (especially the shower area). Heating is via baseboard units that can be slow to respond. Bed sizes include single queen and twin configurations. Rooms have a flat-screen TV (located in the living room of one-bedroom suites), a dining table, and carpeted floors. No balconies or in-room safes. Hair dryers are provided in the closet.

The Baroness Hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. Breakfast may be offered on certain dates - check availability and cost at the time of booking, as it is not included by default. For other meals, a dozen restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute walk, including Italian, Middle Eastern, Mexican, and Asian options. A notable café is located just around the corner. The kitchenette in each room (fridge, microwave, coffee machine) allows for simple meal preparation, though the stoves are not functional. A paid town car service is available for trips to restaurants further afield.

The hotel provides a games room for indoor recreation. There is no swimming pool, spa, or gym on the premises. Board games and puzzles are also available. The location on First Hill offers easy walking access to Seattle's waterfront and parks for outdoor leisure.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. Luggage storage is offered at no charge for early arrivals or late departures. A launderette (pay-per-use) and a guest library are on site. The business centre is free, and meeting/banquet facilities are available for an additional fee.
