HOTEL PRINCIPE, Rome

The hotel sits in the city centre, a 3-minute walk from Santa Maria Maggiore and less than 1 km from Cavour Metro Station. Many major sights - including the Colosseum and Quirinal Hill - are within a comfortable walking distance. Rome Ciampino Airport is 14 km away; a paid shuttle service can be arranged. The immediate area is very practical for transport and amenities, with numerous restaurants, cafés, and a minimarket within a few steps. The street can be busy, so rooms with windows facing the courtyard offer more quiet.

The hotel offers single, double, twin, triple, and quadruple rooms, all with a private bathroom featuring a shower, bidet, and hairdryer. Each room includes a tea and coffee maker, refrigerator, work desk, free toiletries, a safety deposit box, and city views - with some looking onto an interior courtyard for quieter sleep. Room sizes are compact but functional for short stays. Noise from the street and between rooms can be an issue; rooms further from the reception desk and not facing the road are more peaceful. Housekeeping is provided daily on request, and towels are changed periodically.

For a morning meal, the hotel can deliver an Italian breakfast tray (coffee or cappuccino and a cornetto) to the room for a €5 service fee on top of the food cost. There is no buffet, restaurant, or bar on the premises. The surrounding streets within a 2-minute walk contain a wide range of restaurants, including South Indian, Italian trattorias, and cafés, making it easy to eat out. The hotel does not offer meal delivery or room service from these external places.

Hotel Principe does not provide a gym, pool, spa, or common leisure areas. The property's main leisure value is its central position - Termini Station and the Metro allow quick access to all major landmarks, parks, and entertainment districts. The surrounding Esquilino neighbourhood offers shopping, dining, and a lively street atmosphere during the day.

The hotel provides free WiFi in all areas, free luggage storage (before check-in and after check-out), lockers, and a safety deposit box in each room. Daily housekeeping is included, and an express check-in/out option is available with advance notice. A paid shuttle service to the airport can be arranged, and there is an ATM on site. The main entrance can be difficult to open; assistance is available from staff during reception hours. Late-night arrival requires prior arrangement and an additional fee. Reception is not attended around the clock, especially early morning, so guests departing early should plan to leave the key at the desk.
