HOTEL RESIDENCE OHASHI KAIKAN TOKYO SHIBUYA, Tokyo

The hotel is in a quiet residential area along the Meguro River, about 15-20 minutes on foot to Shibuya Crossing. The neighborhood offers a 7-Eleven directly next door, several restaurants and bars within a 5-minute walk, and a supermarket within easy walking distance. For airport transfers, using the train via Ikejiri-Ohashi Station is the most practical option since no parking is available. The area is well suited for walking, with Higashiyama Kaizuka Park (2-minute walk), Sugekari Park (700 m), and Kamimeguro Hikawa Shrine (7-minute walk) nearby. The calm, low-key setting makes it a practical base for exploring central Tokyo without the noise of the city.

Rooms are small and best suited for solo travelers with light luggage. Each unit includes air conditioning, a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, toiletries, and free Wi-Fi. The semi-double bed (120 cm wide x 195 cm long) is comfortable for one person but not designed for two adults. Storage space is limited, though under-bed lockers and free first-floor lockers provide alternative luggage storage. A work desk is available in the room and in the co-living area. Some rooms may retain a slight odor from previous occupation or have a noisy air conditioning unit; ventilation can be managed by running the unit on a low setting. The property's minimalist style and functional layout are suited to short or medium-length stays for those prioritizing location and price over room size.

The property includes a sauna that can be used for an additional charge. For relaxation and socializing, the shared kitchen and lounge area provide a comfortable space to cook, eat, and work. The surrounding neighborhood, especially along the quiet Meguro River, is well suited for walks and runs. Guests looking for more extensive wellness facilities, such as a gym or pool, will need to use nearby local options; the area also has a traditional public bath (sento) within walking distance.

Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the building. The first floor has free lockers for luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. A shared kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and laundry machines are available 24 hours at no extra cost (detergent and fabric softener are provided). Express check-in/check-out and private check-in/check-out are included. A lift serves all floors. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. Common-area cleaning is performed regularly, but rooms are not serviced during stays; guests can pick up fresh towels and toiletries from the self-service area. Reception hours are limited (13:00-24:00 on weekdays, 09:00-24:00 on weekends/holidays), but self-check-in is available after hours.
