Waves Nakameguro is located in the Meguro-ku district, a 2-minute walk from Nakameguro Station on the Hibiya and Tokyu Toyoko lines. This gives direct rail access to Shibuya, Daikanyama, Roppongi, and Shinjuku, making it an excellent base for exploring Tokyo. The area is leafy and less touristy than central districts, with the Meguro River cherry blossom path nearby. Within a 3-minute walk you'll find Sato Sakura Museum, numerous restaurants and cafes, supermarkets, convenience stores, and a 7-Eleven. Haneda Airport is 15 km away and reachable by train in about 40 minutes. The neighbourhood is quiet yet lively, with many dining and shopping options within a short stroll.

Accommodation consists of private double, twin, and triple rooms, all featuring air conditioning, heating, a tea and coffee maker, a dining area, and a TV. Twin rooms include a sofa and some offer a balcony. Rooms are notably spacious for Tokyo standards, with enough floor space to open a suitcase fully. Beds are comfortable and bedding is clean. All rooms share bathrooms (shower, bidet, hairdryer, towels, shampoo and conditioner provided); private bathrooms are not available. The shared bathrooms are kept clean and are rarely crowded. Rooms facing the railroad may hear train sounds; requesting a quiet room is advisable. Linens and towels are provided at no extra cost, and free snacks and water are placed in the rooms upon arrival.

Waves Nakameguro does not operate a restaurant or bar. There is a shared lounge with a dining area, tea and coffee facilities, and a refrigerator. Guests can eat their own food in the lounge or their rooms. Complimentary snacks and water are provided in the common area. The immediate surroundings are packed with dining options: The City Bakery Nakameguro, Kichiji Kanizo, Izakaya Ikariya, Gottsuan, Mitsuyadoseimen, Sacura Nakameguro, and many more are within 0.5 km. A supermarket and a 7-Eleven are directly opposite, ideal for self-catering.

The hostel offers a spacious, beautifully decorated common lounge with a TV, seating, and a balcony. Free movie nights and live sport events are broadcast regularly. There are no other wellness facilities such as a gym, pool, or spa. The lounge is a social hub, but noise from late-night conversations can carry into nearby rooms; quiet hours are recommended for sleeping areas. The Meguro River area, just a few minutes' walk away, is a popular spot for cherry blossom viewing and riverside walks.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Luggage storage is available free of charge, which is useful for early arrivals or late departures. Laundry and dry cleaning are offered for an additional fee; the laundry service is noted as practical and helpful. Private check-in and check-out are standard, and late check-in is possible with a completed prior check-in form at no extra charge. The front desk can assist with luggage delivery (takkyubin).
