TREMONT HOTEL BRONX-GRAND OPENING, New York

Set on a main avenue in the Bronx, the hotel is a short walk from the subway (line D) and has a bus stop directly outside, providing 45-minute connections to midtown Manhattan. Nearby attractions include Bronx Zoo (1 km), Yankee Stadium (5 km), and Central Park (15 km). John F. Kennedy International Airport is 27 km away. The immediate area has convenience stores, bodegas, and fast-food options such as Wendy's (1 km) and Cosmo's Restaurant (0.5 km). The neighborhood is busy and may feel less safe at night; it is best suited for travellers who are familiar with urban environments and plan to use public transport rather than a car.

Accommodation options include double rooms (one bed) and quadruple rooms (two beds). Each room has a private bathroom with a shower, free toiletries (body wash only), and a flat-screen TV with streaming apps (requires personal login). Some rooms have a minifridge. Room conditions can vary significantly: some units are newly renovated, clean, and spacious, while others may have maintenance issues such as broken door locks, non-working AC or heating, stained bedding, and odors from smoke or marijuana. Noise from other guests and the street is common, particularly on lower floors. Windows in some rooms open for fresh air. It is advisable to check the room immediately on arrival and request a change if the condition is not satisfactory.

The hotel does not provide breakfast, but a vending machine in the lobby offers drinks and snacks. Within a short walk, Cosmo's Restaurant (0.5 km) and Wendy's (1 km) are available, along with corner stores and bodegas. The area has a variety of food options, including Jamaican cuisine and fast food, making it easy to find meals without travelling far. Guests staying multiple nights may prefer to stock up at nearby shops.
