HUB LONDON - KING'S CROSS, London

The location offers direct access to the London Underground, national rail services, and the Eurostar. Nearby attractions include Camden Market, the British Museum, and King's Cross Theatre. The area around the hotel includes a variety of restaurants and shops, such as Franco Manca, Dishoom, and German Gymnasium, all within a 10-minute walk. The hotel is 14 km from London City Airport, and the nearby bus stop provides a convenient connection to central London. The quiet side street setting means the rooms themselves are generally quiet, but the walk to major transport hubs is quick and straightforward. Those traveling by car should note that there is no parking at the hotel.

Room sizes are compact, typical for a central London budget hotel. The bed placement may require one person to climb over the other to get out, and some rooms have the bed on a raised platform. Air conditioning is standard, but several reports indicate it can be noisy or struggle to cool the room properly; a fan is sometimes provided. The rooms are carpeted, and the lighting and temperature controls are operated via a touch-screen panel above the bed. The bathroom is a glass cubicle behind the headboard, with a good-pressure shower and liquid soap dispensers. There is no kettle in the room. Standard rooms can be very small for two people with luggage; the 'Bigger Room' option provides more space and a larger bed. Some rooms on lower floors have no windows, which can lead to stuffiness. Light sleepers may find the rooms less suitable due to potential noise from air conditioning units or plumbing.

The breakfast includes hot options such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, and baked beans, as well as continental choices like toast, croissants, pastries, cereals, and porridge. Breakfast can be busy, with queues possible and the seating area occasionally insufficient. Coffee and tea are available in the bar area 24/7 at no extra cost. The bar also serves food and drinks, with a happy hour offering drinks at a reduced price. The breakfast represents solid value compared to eating out in the area, but it is a simple buffet; scrambled eggs are the only cooked egg option, and the quality of hot items can vary.

This hotel does not have a pool, spa, or gym. The bar and lounge area provides a social space for relaxing with a drink or the complimentary tea and coffee. The property is well-suited for guests whose focus is on exploring London rather than spending time at the hotel.
