CRAVEN HOTEL, London

Located in the heart of central London, the Craven Hotel sits just one minute from Hyde Park and is less than a five-minute walk from Lancaster Gate Underground Station, providing direct Central Line access to Oxford Street, Bond Street, and the West End. Paddington Rail and Underground Station is five minutes away, offering express trains to Heathrow Airport, plus connections to Oxford Street and Buckingham Palace. The British Museum and Royal Albert Hall are both within a 20-minute walk. The area around the hotel has several cafés, restaurants, and shops within a three-minute stroll, including an Italian deli and a Malaysian restaurant. This location is ideal for solo travellers and those who plan to spend most of their time out exploring, as the room is best used as a base for sleeping and showering.

Rooms at the Craven Hotel are compact and functional, with a private bathroom, LCD LED TV with satellite channels, a desk, and a tea and coffee making stand. Each room has heating (no air conditioning), a hairdryer, and free toiletries. Most rooms have windows, but some lower-ground or basement rooms lack natural light and may have limited ventilation, with windows that open only a small amount. Bed options include double or twin configurations, and triple rooms with two beds are available. The rooms are best suited as a base for sleeping and showering; those prioritising location and price over space and modern decor will find the hotel adequate. Road-facing rooms can be noisy, and the property does not have soundproofed walls, so light sleepers may wish to request a quieter room away from the street.

Free Wi-Fi is accessible in all public areas and guest rooms. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk with concierge service, private check-in/out, and express check-in/out options (additional charge). Luggage storage is offered free of charge at reception if the room is not ready upon arrival or after check-out, though an external company may apply a separate insurance fee. Daily housekeeping costs £10 extra and must be requested; otherwise rooms are cleaned only on departure. A lift serves all floors, and the property is fully non-smoking. 24-hour security with CCTV in common areas and outside, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers are in place. Laundry and fax/photocopying are available for a fee. No parking is provided, but paid hourly roadside parking is available in front of the hotel. No air conditioning, safe, or fridge is available in rooms; irons can be borrowed from reception. Bicycles can be stored in the luggage lobby if they do not fit inside the room.
