HYATT HOUSE CHARLOTTE REA FARMS, Charlotte

The hotel sits in the Rea Farms neighbourhood, a walkable area with dining options such as The Improper Pig, Ilios Noche, Chuy's, and Hickory Tavern, all within 0.5 km. A large grocery store is also a short walk away. Major attractions include Southpark Mall (17 km) and Pebble Creek Golf Course (16 km). The area is safe and well-lit at night, though rooms facing Ardrey Kell Road may experience street noise from traffic, including motorcycles and modified cars. Access to uptown Charlotte is easy by car.

Room types range from double rooms (1 bed) to quadruple rooms (2 beds) and suites (3 beds). Bathrooms include walk-in showers. While many rooms are spacious and clean, some may have lingering pet-related odours or soft mattresses. A light near the coffee cabinet can be dim; a small portable light is useful for those staying several days. Rooms on higher floors tend to be quieter, and those with a kitchenette are available. The accommodation prioritises comfort for business and leisure travellers.

Breakfast is served in a large seating area. The selection is varied, covering continental and American options, though on busy weekends items can run out quickly. The on-site bar, HBAR, serves American dinner cuisine in a modern setting and also offers mixed drinks. During peak events, the bar may close earlier than posted 10 PM hours. An evening bar snack menu is available. For additional dining, the surrounding Rea Farms area provides many restaurants within easy walking distance.

Parking is plentiful but can fill up in the evenings; accessible parking and an electric vehicle charging station are provided. The hotel features a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/out, and an ATM on site. A laundromat is available (coin-operated; change is available at the front desk). The business centre, free of charge, includes computers and meeting/banquet facilities for an additional charge. Accessibility features include a raised toilet, grab rails, wheelchair access, and a lift to all floors. A minimarket is on site. Fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and 24-hour security are in place. Cots are available on request.
