The hotel sits just off a busy road, so traffic noise can be heard throughout the night in some rooms. It is a 12-minute drive from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and Longview Golf Course, and about 10 minutes from the Greensboro Coliseum. Piedmont Triad International Airport is 13 km away. The area is car-dependent; there are many restaurants within a 5-minute drive (including Papa John's Pizza, IHOP, and Vino's Pizzeria), but there is little that is safely walkable. The location is well-suited for visitors to NCAT (about 11 minutes) and is convenient for those attending events at the Coliseum.

All rooms include a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, and a coffee maker. Some rooms have carpeted floors, while others feature LVP flooring with an accent rug. Rooms can feel dated or dark to some, but many find them clean and spacious. The double rooms can accommodate up to 5 people with 2 double beds and a pull-out sofa. A large mirror is located near the bathroom. High-floor rooms are available above the 4th floor. Road-facing rooms may be noisier. There are no balconies, jacuzzi tubs, or soaker tubs. Some rooms have been noted to have issues with cleanliness, including crumbs on the carpet and mold in the bathroom, so checking upon arrival is advisable.

The breakfast spread includes hot dishes such as scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon bits, potatoes, hash, grits, and French toast, along with tortillas, cheese, salsa, bagels, croissants, donuts, muffins, oatmeal cookies, cereal, fresh fruit, and yogurt with berries and melon. Juices and coffee are also provided. The breakfast area can get very busy, especially when sports teams are staying. On-site dining also includes the Bakery Café offering gourmet baked goods and Starbucks coffee, and the 24/7 Guest Kitchen provides various made-to-order meals and snacks. The bar serves food and is available, but is closed on Mondays.

The outdoor pool is open seasonally and features sun loungers. The pool may occasionally be closed or less well-maintained; checking ahead is recommended. The fitness centre is accessible 24/7 and includes treadmills and a Peloton bike, but no free weights above 3.6 kg. There is no spa or wellness centre on site.
