Ibis Hotel Berlin Spandau is situated at a major transport hub: Spandau station provides S-Bahn (S9), regional trains (RE8 to Berlin Brandenburg Airport in ~51 min), and U-Bahn connections, plus bus and tram lines. The hotel is 200 m from Spandau's Old Town and a 20-min walk or 2 U-Bahn stops from the 16th-century Spandau Citadel. The Spandau Arcaden shopping centre offers shops and a food court, and the Olympic Stadium is reachable in about 15 minutes by train. For events at the Zitadelle or Waldbühne, the location is very practical. The front of the hotel faces a busy road with sirens, so rooms at the back (facing the Rathaus) tend to be quieter. Loading/unloading luggage is possible directly in front of the hotel.

Rooms feature air conditioning (noted to operate only in heating mode during cooler months - this can make rooms uncomfortably warm in summer unless the window is opened), soundproof windows, a flat-screen TV, an AM/FM alarm clock, and direct-dial telephone. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. Some rooms have a modular, prefabricated bathroom unit that some find compact but efficient. Double beds are 160 cm wide and come with one shared duvet (additional duvets available on request).
