IBIS STYLES AMSTERDAM AMSTEL, Amsterdam

The hotel sits in a quieter part of De Pijp, a neighbourhood with local restaurants, cafés, and the Albert Cuyp Market opposite. The Museum Quarter (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum) and Vondelpark are within a 10-15 minute walk. For longer journeys, tram 4 from Stadhouderskade reaches Dam Square in 10 minutes and Amsterdam Centraal Station in about 15 minutes. Lidl supermarket is 1 minute on foot, and there are numerous dining options within 0.5 km, including Asian, Indian, Dutch, and Middle Eastern cuisine. Amsterdam Centraal Station is a 25-minute tram ride or 40-minute walk. The surrounding streets are quiet, and the hotel is on a canal, with some rooms offering canal views.

The hotel offers Standard Double Rooms, Family Rooms (sleeping up to four), and Souterrain Small Double Rooms located in the basement. Some rooms on the fourth floor are accessed by steep stairs. Floor plans vary, and rooms facing internal light shafts, first-floor windows near the corridor, or next to the lift can have less privacy and more movement noise. Canal-view rooms are available but not guaranteed for all types. Beds are generally comfortable, though some rooms have hard mattresses or small double beds. Each room has air conditioning, electric kettle, safe, and cable TV. Bathroom size is tight, and open-plan showers can splash water across the floor. Wardrobe space is minimal, and there is no fridge in the room. Carpeted floors are common, and some rooms show wear. Daily housekeeping is available on request.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00 and includes bread, pastries, hot drinks, and warm items such as boiled or scrambled eggs. It is available for an additional charge (18 EUR). The lobby has a vending machine with snacks and drinks. No on-site restaurant or bar is present, but the surrounding De Pijp neighbourhood offers numerous cafés, restaurants, and takeaway options within a short walk, including Asian, Indian, Dutch, and Middle Eastern cuisine. Free coffee and tea are available in the reception area.

The hotel does not have a spa, swimming pool, or gym. For leisure, bicycle rental is offered directly from the hotel for an additional charge. Board games and puzzles are available for children. The shared lounge/TV area and the outdoor picnic area with sun terrace provide casual relaxation space. The Albert Cuyp Market, museums, and Vondelpark are within walking distance for additional recreation.
