HOTEL TORENZICHT, Amsterdam

All rooms contain single beds (which can be pushed together for couples), a small desk or table, and heating. There is no air conditioning, no fridge, no safe, and no hairdryer (available to borrow at reception). The historic building has steep, narrow stairs - all rooms require climbing at least one flight. Rooms vary in size; some are compact, especially attic rooms on the top floor. Carpeted floors and thin walls mean noise from neighbouring rooms and the street can be heard. The shared bathrooms are cleaned daily, but conditions may vary. The property is adults only and non-smoking. Those with limited mobility should not book due to the lack of a lift and steep stairs.

Breakfast includes bread, boiled and scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, jam, butter, coffee, tea, and juice. It is self-service buffet style; late arrivals (after 09:30) may find items not replenished. The ground-floor bar is open 24/7 and serves drinks, snacks, and live sports on a big screen - popular with both hotel guests and locals. In the evening, the bar transforms into a Thai restaurant offering dinner. The surrounding area is filled with restaurants, cafes, and snack bars within a 2-minute walk, providing plenty of alternatives for lunch or dinner.

Guests can use the shared lounge/TV area or the 24-hour bar, which also hosts live sports events on a big screen. No other wellness or leisure facilities are available. The hotel's location in the Red Light District means entertainment, nightlife, and attractions are steps away, but the property itself is focused on basic accommodation.

The 24-hour front desk doubles as the bar, providing a secure environment with CCTV and key card access. Luggage storage is offered for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is included; cleanliness of shared bathrooms can vary. Vending machines for drinks are available. The hotel accepts cash at check-in but requires a credit card for booking. Accepted cards include American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and others. There is no elevator, no airport shuttle, and no parking on-site (public garages nearby). The property is adults only.
