KINSHIP LANDING, Colorado Springs

The hotel sits in the downtown centre, steps from Tejon Street's restaurants, bars, galleries and shops. Colorado Springs Airport is a 20-minute drive, making it practical for air travellers. Popular outdoor attractions including Garden of the Gods and Cheyenne Mountain are within a short drive, and the front range of the Rockies is visible from the property. Street parking costs $1-$1.50/hour; on-site parking is $16/night and reservation is needed. The immediate area includes a mix of parking lots and some vacant buildings; evening walking to the main street is easy but lighting is limited in parts of the neighbourhood.

Room categories include King Suites with mountain or city views, a soaking tub and fireplace; Queen Suites with a full balcony; Double Queen Suites with two beds and a balcony; Jr. Queen Suites; Jr. Queen + Bunk Suites with a lofted twin bunk over a queen bed; and Family Suites with a queen bed, twin bunks, two bathrooms and a small kitchenette. Most rooms have air conditioning, soundproofed walls, a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, and private walk-in shower. The King Suite's overhead glass garage door opens fully to let in mountain air. Some rooms have no closet or drawers-storage is limited to hooks and shelving. Mattresses are very plush, and bunk beds lack a handrail on one side, which can be a challenge for climbing. Rooms facing the main road can pick up traffic noise; higher floors or mountain-view sides are quieter. The minimalist style means small bathrooms and vanities, and the bathroom sink is sometimes located in the bedroom area, which can disturb a sleeping partner.

Homa Café + Bar opens from 07:00-10:00 and 16:00-19:00 daily, serving American, local and international cuisines. The menu includes hearty bowls, sandwiches, house-made handpies, and a dedicated breakfast menu with items like eggs, Japanese pancakes, and biscuits & gravy. A cocktail hour runs in the evenings. The café does not take reservations-seating is first-come, first-served across the main room and two outdoor patios. Kid's meals are available (additional charge). Vegetarian and gluten-free options are marked. The menu is moderately priced; some dishes and drinks have been noted as on the expensive side. Dinner service can take time during busy periods. A shared community kitchen on the second floor offers a fridge, microwave and coffee maker for light self-catering.

Wellness and leisure facilities are low-key but intentional. The outdoor space includes a terrace with outdoor furniture, a picnic area, and an outdoor fireplace. Yard games such as mini golf are available on the lawn. The hotel also organizes walking tours, bike tours, and pub crawls (all at additional charge). The adjacent area offers hiking, cycling, fishing, and golf within 3 km. For families, a kids' outdoor play equipment set and board games are provided. The indoor Greenhaus event space doubles as a lush, plant-filled lounge with natural light, open to guests when not reserved for events. There is no pool, spa, or gym on site, but the hotel staff can recommend nearby providers.
