LA FUENTE INN & SUITES, Yuma

The hotel sits off Highway 8, providing easy access to Tucson and San Diego. The airport shuttle is complimentary and runs to/from Yuma International Airport. Within a five-minute walk, guests find Olive Garden, Panda Express, Starbucks, and over a dozen other dining options, plus a large shopping center and movie theater. Yuma Territorial Prison State Historic Park and Paradise Casino are 5 km away, and the Mexican border at Algodones is a 30-minute drive south. The immediate area is busy with traffic, and turning left out of the hotel can be difficult. Road noise is noticeable in some rooms, but the interior courtyard remains quiet and peaceful.

Rooms are generously sized and include a desk, ironing facilities, and air conditioning. Many units have two ceiling fans and zoned climate control. Suites add a separate living room with a full-size pullout sofa bed, a wet bar, and in some cases two televisions. Bathrooms vary between bathtubs and walk-in showers; some suites have Jack-and-Jill doors connecting to the bedroom. The building is two stories with no elevator - second-floor rooms require climbing a flight of stairs. Wood construction means noise from upstairs rooms travels easily; choosing a top-floor room avoids this issue. Some rooms have a musty or smoky odor, and a few have reported broken fixtures or noisy bathroom fans. Beds range from comfortable to firm, and pillows are small. Ceiling fans are a popular feature for sleeping. Daily housekeeping is provided, but vacuuming and coffee maker cleaning are not always performed.

Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00 AM and includes scrambled eggs, omelettes, sausage, potatoes, make-your-own waffles, yogurt, cereal, bagels, toast, and fresh fruit. Coffee and orange juice are available throughout the day. The buffet is replenished frequently, and the dining area was recently renovated. On Monday through Thursday evenings, the hotel hosts a complimentary happy hour from 5:00 PM, offering two drink tickets per person for beer, wine, or basic cocktails, along with snacks such as small hot dogs and chips. Barbecue grills are available for guest use on a first-come, first-served basis. For those who prefer to dine out, dozens of restaurants are within a short walk, including Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Famous Dave's.

The pool is heated and open all year, with a fence around it for safety. Pool towels and sun loungers with cushions are provided, and the courtyard features grass, palm trees, and shaded cabanas. The hot tub is set to 39 °C. A small fitness center with modern equipment is available free of charge. The barbecue area has four gas grills and picnic tables, and the entire pool deck was recently refurbished. The courtyard is often described as a peaceful oasis, ideal for relaxing after a day of travel or sightseeing.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. Parking is free, on-site, and gated, with spaces located directly outside each room. The airport shuttle runs on demand to Yuma International Airport. A business center with free fax and photocopying is available. Laundry machines are coin-operated and open 24 hours. The front desk is staffed around the clock and can assist with early check-in or late check-out based on availability. Rollaway beds are available for an extra fee. Service dogs are welcome, but other pets are not. The property is non-smoking; smoking is only permitted in the parking lot. Security cameras monitor the grounds. Online check-in and check-out are offered for a faster experience.
