RED LION INN & SUITES HOU AIRPORT ROAD, Houston

The hotel is less than 5 minutes from Hobby Airport, with free shuttle service operating from 5:00 AM to midnight. NRG Stadium, the University of Houston, and downtown Houston are all within a 15-minute drive. The property is located behind a Best Western and signage can be faint, so use GPS or look for the shared hotel complex entrance. Several chain restaurants and a 24-hour diner are within a short drive, though no dining options are within safe walking distance. The hotel provides easy access to I-45 for travelers heading to Galveston or downtown.

All rooms include a private bathroom, a mini-refrigerator, microwave, coffee-making facilities, iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. Air conditioning and heating are available. The property has both double rooms with one bed and quadruple rooms with two queen beds. Some rooms have a king bed with a seating area. The hotel is older and furnishings show wear; carpets may have stains and some bathrooms have visible rust or chipped paint. For a better experience, request a recently remodeled room, as a portion of the rooms have been updated with fresh decor. Light sleepers should request a room on a higher floor away from the elevator to minimize hallway noise. The hotel does not have adjoining rooms, and no rooms have balconies or kitchenettes.

The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub/jacuzzi, and a fitness center. The pool and hot tub may not be operational during certain seasons or maintenance periods; recent reports indicate the hot tub is sometimes drained and the pool might be closed for cleaning. The fitness center contains a treadmill, elliptical, exercise bike, and universal gym; some equipment may have reduced functionality. Guests planning to use these facilities should confirm current availability before booking.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Free on-site parking does not require a reservation. The complimentary airport shuttle operates from 5:00 AM to midnight and also serves destinations within an 8 km radius. The business center provides free printing and fax/photocopying services. Daily housekeeping is included; additional charges apply for dry cleaning, laundry, and ironing service. The hotel has a lift, wheelchair-accessible rooms, and tactile signs for visual accessibility. Luggage storage is available. A $100 refundable deposit is collected at check-in. The property accepts American Express, Visa, Discover, and MasterCard. Pet fees are $20 per night, with a $40 maximum for longer stays.
