LELUX HOTEL, Montreal

The hotel sits on the edge of the Latin Quarter, a lively area filled with restaurants, cafés, and bars. Berri-UQAM metro station is a two-minute walk, providing direct access to all of Montreal and a four-stop ride to the main Via Rail station. Place Jacques Cartier is 1 km away, and the Museum of Contemporary Art is 1 km. The 747 airport shuttle bus stop is just a few minutes away. Complexe Desjardins shopping centre is a 5-minute walk, and Eaton Centre is about 10 minutes on foot. While the immediate area is well served by transit and has a vibrant restaurant scene, walkers should note that some streets nearby can feel less quiet late at night.

The hotel offers a range of room types, from standard to King and two-Queen bed configurations. King rooms and rooms with two Queen beds include a mini fridge and microwave; other room types do not. All rooms have a private bathroom, ironing facilities, air conditioning, and heating. Balconies are not available. The room furnishings are functional but may feel dated, and carpeting and wall finishes may show wear. Some rooms have limited soundproofing, so street-facing or elevator-adjacent units may let in noise from traffic, the parking garage door, and neighbouring rooms. The beds are comfortable but some mattresses are older and may feel firm. Pillows are small. Rooms are generally spacious and have decent closet space.

A continental breakfast is served each morning for $25 plus tax per person. The breakfast includes bread, croissants, pancakes, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, and juice. Gluten-free options are available on request. The breakfast area is open from 7 AM to 10 AM. Food may run out early and can take time to be replenished. Plates and utensils can be limited when the hotel is busy. Items are served in a buffet style including disposable plates and cups. There is no restaurant or bar on site. Room service is available for limited orders. The Latin Quarter, a 5-minute walk away, has many restaurants and cafés including Italian, sushi, and diner-style options.

The hotel offers a 24-hour front desk, key card access, and 24-hour security. Free WiFi is available throughout the building. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. A coin-operated laundry service is offered for a fee. The business centre includes fax/photocopying. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are on site. Daily housekeeping is provided, though frequency may vary. The lobby is modern and clean, but some public areas like hallways and the breakfast room may show wear. Parking is on site (garage) and costs $25-$45 per night depending on availability and booking time; it is first-come, first-served and spaces are tight. The deposit policy requires a $250 CAD hold via credit card or cash.
