LONDON GATWICK INN, London

The hotel sits on the outskirts of Horley, with a petrol station and a Sainsbury's convenience store directly opposite, plus a local pub a few minutes' walk away. Bus routes 100, 400, and 460 stop at Chestnut Road, a 2-3 minute walk from the hotel, connecting to Gatwick Airport and surrounding areas. The hotel is well positioned for pre- or post-flight stays, with easy road access and free on-site parking. The area is generally quiet, but road-facing rooms may pick up some traffic noise. For longer journeys, Box Hill (19 km), Nonsuch Park (23 km), and Chessington World of Adventures (26 km) are accessible by car.

The hotel offers double, twin, triple, family, and quadruple rooms. Room sizes vary, with family rooms noted as spacious enough for up to five people. Some rooms feature private bathrooms with a bath and shower; others have a shared bathroom - the quadruple room's shared bathroom is used only by that room. Some rooms have been renovated, though others may feel dated with worn furniture, frayed linens, or a musty smell. Bedding is generally reported as comfortable, with some rooms offering an extra pillow on request. No air conditioning is available, but staff can provide a fan during warm conditions. Noise between rooms is not well insulated; guests sensitive to sound may prefer an interior-facing room. Requests for a ground-floor room are often accommodated for those with mobility concerns.

The hotel does not operate a kitchen or restaurant at present, so there are no meal services on site. A Sainsbury's convenience store is located immediately opposite the hotel, open for self-catered breakfast items, snacks, and drinks. Several cafes, a popular pub, and a supermarket are within walking distance or a short drive in Horley town centre. Guests planning an early flight can buy essentials at the nearby store or order a takeaway. A taxi to Gatwick Airport can be arranged by the 24-hour reception for pre-flight dining.
