The lodge is 5 km from Cannery Row and 8 km from California State University Monterey Bay, with several restaurants and cafes within a 0.5 km walk. Pebble Beach is 10 km away. The location is well suited for car travel; the streets are easy to navigate and free on-site parking is available. Planes fly overhead at certain times, which can be audible outdoors. The immediate area is safe and includes a liquor store and quick dining options, while all major attractions are a short drive away.

Accommodation types range from compact double rooms to two-bedroom family suites with full kitchens and separate living areas. All rooms include a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, flat-screen cable TV, air conditioning, and free WiFi. Hot tub rooms and fireplace rooms are available in select units. The family suite comprises two bedrooms (one king, one queen) plus two sofa beds, a walk-in shower, soundproofing, and an inner courtyard view. Bathrooms are updated with walk-in showers and good water pressure, but towel hooks are limited. The AC unit is notably loud when running and can disrupt sleep for light sleepers. The metal bed frames creak with movement, and mattresses are firm. Window blinds do not fully block external light, so the room is brighter than typical. Noise transfer between rooms is noticeable.

Breakfast is not included, but guests can prepare their own using the in-room coffee machine and refrigerator. Several dining options are within a short walk, including Sushi By The Bay, Monterey Cookhouse, Mundo's Sandwich & Burger House, and Grandma's Kitchen, all 0.5 km away.
