HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS & SUITES - SAN JOSE AIRPORT BY IHG, San Jose

The hotel sits on North First Street in a business park, 7 km from the San Jose Convention Center and California's Great America. The tram stop directly outside provides easy access to downtown San Jose and the airport. Caltrain is also within walking distance, making it convenient for reaching San Francisco or Levi's Stadium. Nearby dining options include Una Mas, Denny's, and Zone 8 Sports Bar & Grill, all within 0.5 km. Freeway access is immediate, though the hotel's own parking is limited and paid.

Rooms are spacious and carpeted, with tea and coffee makers, a safe, and a wardrobe. Most bathrooms feature walk-in showers; some have bathtubs. Beds are generally comfortable, with options for one or two queen beds. Noise levels vary: rooms near the road or with connecting doors may have more sound transfer. The air conditioning units can be noisy in some rooms. Some rooms have views of the mountains or the adjacent hotel. Bathroom doors are large and may swing into the room, potentially blocking access. While many rooms are clean, periodic issues with cleanliness have been reported. Lighting in some rooms is dim.

Breakfast includes pancakes, sausages, eggs, omelettes, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, breads, and juices. The dining room can become crowded, especially on weekends, and items may run out late in the serving period. A snack bar is located in the lobby. Several restaurants are within a short walk for alternative dining. Breakfast hours are weekdays until 9 am and weekends until 9:30 am. The hotel does not offer dinner or lunch service, but the 24-hour front desk can provide local recommendations.

The indoor pool is heated, though the water temperature is often cooler than expected. Pool hours are daily from 6 am to 10 pm, with towels and sun loungers provided. The fitness centre is well-equipped for a property of this category, with cardio and strength machines. There is no hot tub or spa. The pool area cleanliness has been inconsistent. The facilities are available to all guests and included in the room rate.
