LONGHORN BOULDER HIGHWAY, Las Vegas

The hotel sits 5 km from Sam Boyd Stadium (UNLV football) and lies at the Las Vegas-Henderson line. The Strip is a 15-20 minute drive. Public bus service (RTC) stops directly across the street, offering a low-cost way to reach the Strip or downtown. No airport shuttle is available. The surrounding area is a mix of retail (Walmart Supercenter within walking distance), casual dining, and some auto-oriented businesses. Parking is free, secure, and ample, making a rental car the most convenient option for exploring further. Security patrols the lot and grounds regularly. While the immediate neighborhood has some foot traffic, the hotel maintains a safe and accessible environment.

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating, carpeted floors, and a seating area. Irons, ironing boards, and hairdryers are available on request. Soundproofing is limited; thin walls may carry noise from neighboring rooms, hallways, or traffic on Boulder Highway. Larger rooms are available and some are notably spacious. Backside rooms offer a quieter stay. The air conditioning units can be audible, and some have reported reduced cooling performance. Showerheads are mounted lower, which tall individuals may find inconvenient. Bedding is clean, though mattress firmness and linens vary. No microwaves, kettles, or balconies are provided. Daily housekeeping keeps rooms tidy, and the overall cleanliness is generally rated positively given the property's age.

The restaurant menu includes classic items such as Eggs Benedict ($10.99), Biscuits & Gravy ($5.99), Steak & Lobster ($18.99), Bourbon Burger ($12.69), and full racks of ribs. Portions are generous and prices are considered affordable for Las Vegas. Breakfast availability depends on the booking; some rates include a breakfast coupon. The restaurant is located within the casino, and the area can carry cigarette smoke from the gaming floor. Service quality is generally friendly, though occasional inconsistencies are reported. A bar is on-site offering $3 beers. For alternative meals, Denny's, Original Tommy's, and other casual spots are within a 5-minute walk. The hotel also has vending machines for drinks and snacks.

The pool is open year-round and is a simple, clean facility suitable for cooling off. The jacuzzi is heated and can be used separately. Guests have noted that both can be closed for maintenance at short notice, so checking ahead is advisable. The hotel does not have a gym, spa, or fitness center. For entertainment, the on-site casino features slot machines and a William Hill Sports Book (open Monday and Thursday through Sunday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM). The Bigshot Players Club offers rewards, and check-in provides vouchers for free drinks, casino play, and restaurant discounts. The hotel also has a fortune wheel with prizes.
