Located in the 9th arrondissement, the hotel sits on a relatively quiet street but is within easy reach of major transport hubs: Gare Saint-Lazare (metro, RER, and bus lines) is just around the corner, and Auber and Havre-Caumartin stations are also within a few minutes' walk. Many of Paris's main sights are walkable - the Louvre is about 30 minutes on foot, Sacré-Coeur about 20 minutes, and Galeries Lafayette and Printemps are about 5 minutes away. The area is lively and feels safe even at night, with direct metro lines to Orly Airport (via RER B) and to Disneyland Paris (via RER A from Auber). Numerous restaurants, Asian food options, a 24-hour Burger King, and a Monoprix supermarket are all within a few steps of the hotel entrance. There is no on-site parking.

Hotel Louvain offers single, double, twin, triple, and quadruple rooms, each fitted with a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, safe, and a work desk. Most rooms have a private shower and sink, but toilet arrangements vary: many rooms have a private toilet inside the room, while others have a shared toilet on the corridor. Walls and doors offer very little soundproofing, so noise from neighbouring rooms and the corridor is easily audible. Rooms are on the small side, with compact bathrooms; the showers are particularly tiny, and some guests have found the bed sizes narrow. Daily housekeeping is provided.
