LUA'S PLACE, Dublin

The property is set in a residential area roughly 20 minutes on foot from Dublin's city centre, making it practical for budget-conscious travellers who prefer walking to buses. Heuston Train Station is 2 km away, and Dublin Airport is 12 km distant - a 20-minute bus ride or taxi journey. Several dining options such as Midori Sushi & Noodle Bar (0.5 km) and Cafe Du Jour (1 km) are nearby, along with a barber shop at street level. The immediate surroundings have a lively, urban feel, and the entrance is part of a multi-let building called Earls Court. For those arriving by car, no parking is provided, so relying on public transport or ride-sharing is necessary.

Accommodation is divided into basic private rooms and self-contained studio flats. Private rooms are often very small, with some located under a staircase or in a windowless space ventilated only by a noisy extractor fan. These rooms typically contain a single or double bed (sometimes with a worn mattress and squeaky frame), a wardrobe, and a mini fridge. Lighting is often a single fluorescent tube that cannot be fully switched off. Shared bathrooms and a communal kitchen are available; cleanliness varies, though shared areas are reportedly cleaned daily. In contrast, the self-contained studios offer a more private experience with their own bathroom and kitchenette, including an induction hob, microwave, mini oven, and an airfryer. Studios are described as well-equipped for a short stay. Rooms facing the barber shop or main entrance can be noisy during the day and evening. The property has no heating in some rooms except for a basic system that may not be effective; electric heaters are sometimes needed manually. Wallpaper and furniture in older rooms may show signs of dampness and wear. Given the range, choosing a studio or a room with a window can significantly improve comfort.
