DUBLIN CASTLE SUITES, Dublin

The property is at the centre of Dublin's most vibrant nightlife district. Dublin Castle, City Hall, and the Chester Beatty Library are within a 4-minute walk, while the Book of Kells and St Patrick's Cathedral take around 10 minutes on foot. Dublin Airport is 9 km away, with a taxi stand directly across the street. The immediate surroundings are dense with pubs and restaurants, including The Porterhouse, The Boxty House, and numerous options within 300 metres. Because the location sits above a bar and adjacent to an alley with late-night venues, the area is noisy at all hours, especially Thursday to Sunday mornings. Light sleepers should plan accordingly. The apartment entrance is on a narrow alley, so using the taxi stand or walking is more practical than driving.

Units range from one-bedroom suites for two to two-bedroom apartments for up to six guests, each with a private bathroom (shower and hairdryer) and seating area. Kitchens include a microwave, tea and coffee maker, kitchenware, and a dining area. Some apartments have a living room with a sofa bed, but these sofa beds are located in the living/kitchen area where street-facing windows make noise and light a persistent issue. Windows are single-glazed, rooms facing the street or the alley receive heavy noise from late-night venues until around 4-5 am, and blackout curtains are not fitted. The property has no lift and stairs are narrow; units can be on the 3rd to 6th floor. While most apartments are spacious, well-decorated, and clean, the lack of sound insulation and the nightlife noise mean the accommodation is best suited to groups who plan to be out late or who are not sensitive to noise.
