LUCKY HOUSE KHAOSAN, Bangkok

The hotel is a three-minute walk from the bustling nightlife, street food, bars, and shopping of Khaosan Road. Major landmarks including the Grand Palace and Wat Pho are within a 15-minute walk, making it easy to visit temples on foot. Siam and Pratunam shopping areas are a short ride away by taxi or tuk-tuk. The nearest MRT station is Sanam Chai (around 1 km), and Hua Lamphong MRT is about 4 km from the hotel. Don Mueang International Airport is 27 km away; Suvarnabhumi International Airport is 32 km. A 7-Eleven is directly across the street, and a pharmacy is next door. Tuk-tuk drivers wait right outside the hotel entrance.

All rooms include air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom with a hot shower and good water pressure, a mini fridge, an electric kettle, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels (including an English channel), and free toiletries. Room types include double and twin options. Some rooms have windows; others are windowless, which can lead to a stuffy or musty feeling and poor ventilation. The rooms are generally small, suited for solo travellers or couples on a budget; families or guests with large luggage may find the space cramped. The lift is small and slow. Room cleaning is daily if requested via a button by the door. One key card per room is issued, meaning the room heats up when the card is removed upon leaving.

Lucky House Khaosan does not operate its own restaurant, and breakfast is no longer served on site. A free water dispenser with hot and cold water is available in the lobby for filling bottles or making instant noodles. The streets immediately around the hotel are filled with restaurants, street food stalls, and bars. At least seven restaurants are within a five- to ten-minute walk, including Indian, Thai, and international options. A 7-Eleven across the street offers cheap meals, snacks, and drinks. For those who prefer to eat in, the mini fridge and electric kettle in the room allow basic self-catering.

There is no swimming pool, spa, gym, or sauna within Lucky House itself. However, guests have free access to the rooftop swimming pool at the Dang Derm hotel on Khaosan Road (about 300 metres away), with towels provided. No other leisure facilities are available on site, and the property focuses on providing a clean, affordable base for exploring Bangkok.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas, though some have found the connection unreliable. The 24-hour front desk can assist with currency exchange, concierge services, and private check-in/check-out. Luggage storage costs 30 THB per bag per day. Laundry service is available for an additional charge. A safety deposit box is available, but a 1000 THB deposit may be required to use it. The hotel has a lift, a smoking area on the second floor, and daily housekeeping (if requested). There is no parking and no airport shuttle. Accepted payment methods include Visa and MasterCard. One visitor per room is allowed free of charge but must show a passport for security.
