The free village bus stops directly in front of the lodge, and Vail Village shops and dining are a 6-8 minute walk or a quick bus ride away. The ski lift (Riva Bahn Express) is less than a 2-minute walk, with ski lessons and rental right across the street. Ford Park, the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater and the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens are adjacent via a covered bridge. Denver International Airport is 200 km (roughly 2 hours by car, depending on conditions); Eagle County Regional Airport is 56 km away. No airport shuttle is available, but the Golden Peak bus stop also connects to Lionshead.

Studios offer a king/queen bed plus a murphy or sofa sleeper in the living area. One-bedroom condos have a separate bedroom (king/queen) and a living area with murphy/sofa bed, sleeping up to 4. Two-bedroom units typically have three bathrooms. Three-bedroom condos also have three bathrooms and spacious layouts. All units include a fully equipped kitchen (refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware), a fireplace, a washer/dryer in many units, humidifiers, and balconies with barbecues. Some rooms have double vanities. Rooms lack air conditioning - common in the area - and can get warm during summer heat waves. Individual owners decorate differently, so bedding configurations and furnishings vary; platinum units are more recently updated.

The complimentary breakfast buffet includes made-to-order omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, and daily specials - enough to fuel a full day on the mountain. The modern, family-friendly Fitz Bar & Restaurant serves American cuisine for dinner in a welcoming atmosphere. Ridge + River offers dinner as well. Lunch and bar menus are available, with a popular happy hour and daily specials. An additional snack bar is on site. For those wanting variety, several restaurants (The Blu Cow, Almresi, Big Bear Bistro) are within 0.5 km, but the property's own dining is well-regarded for quality and convenience.

Two outdoor heated salt-water pools (open 10:00-22:00, covered when not in use) and multiple hot tubs provide relaxation after skiing or hiking. The wellness area also includes a wet and dry sauna, steam room, spa & wellness centre (massage and facials available for a charge), fitness centre with locker rooms, and a foot bath. A free hot chocolate bar and warm cookies are served in the lobby from 3-5 pm - a welcome après-ski touch. The property's garden, terrace, and outdoor furniture offer peaceful spots to enjoy the mountain views. Bicycle rental, walking tours, fishing and hiking are available on site or nearby (additional charge for some). Tennis courts are free off-site; golf courses are within 3 km.

The 24-hour front desk offers concierge, luggage storage, lockers, and ATM access. A free shuttle circulates around Vail, and ski equipment hire is on site, with ski storage free of charge. The ski valet at the adjacent lift lets you leave gear slopeside. A minimarket is on site for groceries, and grocery deliveries can be arranged for a fee (helpful for stocking condo kitchens). Business centre, laundry/dry cleaning and meeting/banquet facilities are available (paid). The property is non-smoking throughout, with key card access, CCTV and safety deposit boxes for security. Accessible parking and an electric vehicle charging station are provided. The lift gives access to upper floors.
