MCMASTER ACCOMMODATIONS, Hamilton

The guest house is situated in a residential area of Hamilton, with the Art Gallery of Hamilton and an ice-skating rink within 5 km. Several restaurants, including Taco Del Mar, are about 0.5 km away. McMaster University is very close, making this a practical choice for students or university visitors. The property offers free on-site parking, though street parking restrictions may apply on Emerson Street (not posted on city signage). Walking tours, pub crawls, and bike tours are organized nearby.

Accommodation consists of single, twin, double, and twin/double rooms, each with shared bathroom facilities (walk-in shower, some also with a bath). The rooms are described as basic and dated, with some wear such as broken tiles in hallways, dirty walls, and older furniture. A standing fan is provided per room; there is no air conditioning, and windows lack screens, which can make warm conditions uncomfortable. Noise from other tenants-conversations, door slamming, footfall from upper floors-is a common consideration. Rooms come with free toiletries, a tea and coffee maker, and a fully equipped shared kitchen with stovetop, oven, refrigerator, and cookware.

No meals or dining services are provided. A shared kitchen is available for guests to prepare their own food, equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, oven, kitchenware, and an electric kettle. Several restaurants, such as Taco Del Mar, are within a 0.5 km walk, and the area near McMaster University offers additional fast food and grocery options.

Facilities include free Wi-Fi in rooms and a shared lounge/TV area. A shared kitchen and outdoor seating on the sun terrace/garden are provided. Parking is free on-site (private, no reservation required) and also available on nearby streets. A paid airport shuttle (pickup/drop-off) and laundry service can be arranged for an additional charge. Guests can use free luggage storage and express check-in/check-out. The building is non-smoking, soundproofed, and has carpeted floors and heating. Safety features include fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and key access.

The property has a garden with outdoor furniture and a sun terrace, though the backyard is noted as overgrown with uneven ground and limited seating. Leisure activities such as walking tours, pub crawls, and bike tours can be booked at an additional cost. For downtime, the shared lounge/TV area is available indoors.
