MIMI FAMILY, Florence

Mimi Family is centrally placed for exploring Florence on foot. Santa Maria Novella station is less than 5 minutes away, making arrival and departure convenient. The Duomo, Accademia Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio are all within a 10-15 minute walk. Fortezza da Basso convention center is a 6-minute walk. The immediate area is very lively, with many restaurants, pubs, and shops nearby. Florence Airport is 8 km away; the T1 tram from the station connects directly to the airport. The ground-floor location offers easy access for those with limited mobility, though hallways are narrow and wheelchair navigation would be difficult. The entrance can be easy to miss at first glance, but it is straightforward once spotted.

Accommodation choices include a spacious double room with a private bathroom, triple and quadruple rooms with shared bathrooms, and single-sex or mixed dorms. Private rooms feature air conditioning, an electric kettle, and heating; shared dorms have air conditioning, heating, and a dining table. Smaller dorms (3 or 4 beds) provide more privacy than larger ones. Most rooms have no windows to the outside or windows that face a wall, so natural light is limited. Some rooms can feel very compact, especially with luggage. Beds in shared rooms are bunk beds; mattresses are generally described as comfortable. Lockers are located in or near the rooms. The property also has a shared courtyard and a small kitchen area with a microwave, refrigerator, and kettle.

The property offers free Wi-Fi in rooms and common areas. Daily housekeeping is provided at no extra cost, with the bathrooms and floors cleaned multiple times a day, keeping shared facilities in good condition. Luggage storage is available from 11:00 on the day of arrival and until 18:00 on departure day for a small additional fee, allowing guests to explore the city before check-in or after check-out. Express check-in and check-out streamline arrival and departure. Towels are available for a fee; free bed linen is provided. Bike storage is available in the rear courtyard. The staff is known for being friendly and helpful, though some communication may rely on translation if guests do not speak Chinese. There is no elevator and parking is not available. Guests should bring their own padlock for the lockers.
