MINIMAL HOSTEL NO 41, Berlin

The hostel is in the heart of Neukölln, a vibrant, artsy district known for its canal, market stalls (Tuesdays and Fridays), vintage shops, and a wide selection of cafés, bars and restaurants. Multiple metro lines (U8) are within a few minutes' walk, providing direct connections to central Berlin - Alexanderplatz is about 4 km away and a 20-minute metro ride. The walk through the neighbourhood feels safe even at night, and the area offers plenty of places to eat and drink within 0.5 km (including The Bread, Burkner Eck, Sippi Osteria and Manuela Tapas). For fitness travellers, a gym (JOHN REED Fitness) is about 5 minutes on foot. The canal is a popular spot for afternoon drinks and adds to the relaxed local atmosphere.

The hostel is a thoughtfully renovated apartment with individually furnished rooms, all on the ground floor. Double rooms face the inner courtyard and are very quiet - ideal for sleep. Dormitories are spacious, with beds that offer good separation, a personal hanging space, and a lockable drawer (padlock included). The bathroom area is split: one toilet upstairs and a second toilet with two showers and three sinks downstairs, finished like a spa-style basement. The shared kitchen and dining area are well-equipped (microwave, kettle, French press, cookware) and the common seating area is cosy. Daily cleaning keeps the entire property very tidy. Rooms are without balconies, and the style is minimal, clean and homely rather than basic.

The hostel does not have its own restaurant, bar or breakfast service. The shared kitchen is small but functional, equipped with a microwave, kettle, toaster, refrigerator, and cookware - suitable for preparing simple meals and hot drinks. Tea and coffee are provided free of charge. For more substantial meals, the surrounding Neukölln streets are lined with restaurants, cafés, and Spätis (corner shops) within a 2- to 5-minute walk, including Italian, tapas and pizza options. Several supermarkets are also nearby for self-catering needs.

Wellness facilities such as a spa, sauna or swimming pool are not available at the hostel. Leisure options are practical: board games and puzzles are provided in the common area for quiet downtime. Bike rental is available from the hostel at a competitive rate, offering an excellent way to explore the canal, nearby markets and the wider Neukölln area. The hostel's small size (max ~10 guests) encourages a friendly, relaxed atmosphere among guests, with the common area and kitchen serving as natural social hubs.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. The hostel offers private check-in and check-out via WhatsApp, which is responsive and smooth even for late arrivals. Bike rental is available on request, and luggage storage is free - useful for exploring Berlin on arrival or departure day. A shared kitchen with a kettle, refrigerator, microwave and toaster is provided. The hostel supplies sheets (3€ per person, charged automatically) and one free towel. Toiletries, hairdryer, tea/coffee and slippers are available. Cleaning is daily. No parking, airport shuttle, laundry service, restaurant, spa or pool.
