MOUNTAINSIDE LODGE, Whistler

The hotel sits in the heart of Whistler Village, a short 550-meter walk from the Whistler and Blackcomb gondolas, Lift 1, and the Gateway loop. Over a dozen restaurants are within a 0.5km radius, including Araxi Restaurant & Oyster Bar, Sushi Village, and 21 Steps Kitchen & Bar. Lost Lake is a 5-minute drive away, and Nicklaus North Golf Course is 5km from the property. The location works well for skiers, families, and summer visitors wanting walkable access to everything the village offers.

Accommodation ranges from standard queen suites to expansive loft units. Loft suites sleep up to 4 people with a queen bed, trundle bed, pull-out double sofa bed, and two full bathrooms. Each suite includes a fully equipped kitchen with cookware, toaster, and coffee machine (kettles available on request), a gas fireplace, flat-screen TV, DVD player, MP3 stereo, and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms add a private sauna, steam shower, or spa bath. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and family-friendly, though decor is dated. Loft suites are ideal for longer stays and groups; standard queen suites accommodate 2 persons.

Mountainside Lodge does not have a restaurant, but every suite includes a fully equipped kitchen with cookware, utensils, toaster, and coffee machine. A vending machine for drinks is available. Breakfast options may be available for select room types - check availability when booking. The village offers numerous dining choices within a short walk, including Mexican, Japanese, Italian, and grilled cuisine.

The outdoor heated pool and hot tub are open year-round from 8am to 10pm. The hot tub is especially popular after skiing. A common-use sauna is located on the 4th floor. Certain loft suites include a private in-room sauna, providing a convenient post-ski experience without leaving the room. There is no full spa or wellness centre on site. Golf is available within 3km, and skiing is the main activity.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. On-site private parking costs CAD 26.25 per night and does not require a reservation; the underground garage has a 6'8" height clearance. Ski storage is free with lockers and locks provided. Secure bike storage is also available during summer months. A 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities (additional charge), luggage trolleys, and a lift are operational. Pack-n-play cots and high chairs can be requested. Safety deposit boxes are free. No pets are allowed.
