The immediate area includes a mix of businesses and a homeless shelter, making it feel less safe at night. Many visitors rely on ride-hailing or driving to reach the main tourist attractions along King Street, the waterfront, or the historic district. Charleston International Airport is 17 km away. Street parking is minimal; the hotel's valet service is the primary parking option.

All rooms include air conditioning, a private bathroom with a rain shower, a flat-screen TV, and free toiletries. The standard double and king rooms are small (about 10x10 feet) and have limited surfaces: a fold-down desk, a shelf under the mattress serving as a nightstand, and hooks for hanging clothes. Quad bunk rooms offer four queen beds in a stacked layout (bunk style) with one bathroom, ideal for families or groups. City views are possible from some rooms but not guaranteed. Walls are thin, so noise from adjacent rooms and hallways can be an issue. A number of rooms also have exposed concrete ceilings and minimal decor. For those who plan to spend most of their time out, the rooms provide a clean, efficient sleeping space.

The on-site restaurant, Bar Moxy, offers a menu of American dishes (salads, sandwiches, nachos) and a full bar. A welcome cocktail is complimentary per adult. The rooftop bar features cocktails, fire pits, and occasional live DJs or live music, making it a social spot in the evening.
