The Ferrovia vaporetto stop is close by, providing direct waterbus access to San Marco, Murano, and the airport. The immediate area is lined with restaurants, pastry shops, pizzerias, and souvenir stores, offering a lively base for exploring Venice on foot. Rialto Bridge is a 20-minute walk away, and St. Mark's Square is about 30 minutes on foot. The location is extremely convenient for train and bus arrivals but the street can be busy with crowds and tacky shops.

The hotel has 92 rooms spread across a main building and an annex. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower (no tubs), air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a wardrobe, and a safety deposit box. Some rooms overlook a quiet inner courtyard, while others face the street. Room sizes vary considerably: singles and doubles can be very compact, while triple and quadruple rooms offer more space. The annex is more dated with fraying carpets and less comfortable beds, and it lacks a lift. Noise from hallways, neighbouring breakfast rooms, and student groups can be an issue; rooms in the main building with an inner courtyard are quieter. Some guests have reported mould, insects, or cleanliness issues, though daily housekeeping is provided. The entrance stairs and subsequent lift mean that rooms on higher floors are accessible only by lift after the first floor.

Breakfast is served in a dedicated room and includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, and hot drinks. The buffet covers sweet and savoury items, with some gluten-free options available upon request. The breakfast room can be busy and noisy in the morning, especially when large groups are present. No lunch or dinner is served on site, but the hotel has a bar with vending machines for drinks and snacks. The surrounding streets have numerous restaurants, pizzerias, and bakeries within a three-minute walk, covering various budgets and cuisines.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel, but signal strength is strongest in the lobby and common areas; room connections can be unreliable. The front desk is staffed around the clock and can arrange tour tickets, museum bookings, and provide local recommendations.
