The Newport Gateway Visitor Centre is a 5-minute walk, giving access to trolley and bus routes to the mansions and Cliff Walk (3 km away). T.F. Green Airport is a 30-minute drive; Amtrak stations at West Kingston (20-minute taxi) and Providence (40-minute taxi) serve longer-distance rail. Driving from Boston or New York involves the $4 Jamestown/Newport Bridge toll. The hotel's parking lot is shared with the public and can fill up during peak periods, so arriving early is recommended.

SALTwater is open for breakfast from 7:00-11:00 and dinner from 15:00-20:00, Wednesday through Saturday (closed Sunday-Tuesday). In-house guests receive a buy-one-get-one breakfast offer. The marina lawn features corn hole, Adirondack chairs, hammocks, and a fire pit, creating a family-friendly gathering space with sunset views over the harbour. Live music is held on the outdoor patio during warmer months. No gym or spa facilities are available on site; in-room spa treatments can be arranged through a local partner. The hotel also organises team-building activities from the marina, including sailing charters with America's Cup yachts.
