OLD CENTER STATION, Bologna

The apartment's position is one of its strongest assets. Bologna Centrale is reachable within 5 minutes, making the property ideal for day trips to Modena, Parma, Ravenna and other cities. The historic centre, including MAMbo and Piazza Maggiore, is a 15-minute walk or a short ride on nearby bus routes. The airport is 9 km away and can be reached via train or taxi, which the host can arrange. While bus stops are close, the right line can be tricky to identify without prior research; walking is often simpler. The surrounding streets contain numerous bars, restaurants, minimarkets, and a barber/beauty shop, offering all essentials within a few hundred metres.

The apartment is spacious, impeccably clean and well-equipped. The master bedroom has one double bed, while the living room contains a comfortable sofa bed and a work desk. A fully equipped kitchen with stovetop, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle, cookware and a coffee and espresso machine allows for self-catering. The private bathroom features a shower, free toiletries, a hairdryer, and a washing machine. Air conditioning and heating ensure year-round comfort. The standout features are the private terrace and a balcony with city views, where many enjoy meals; the 7th-floor setting catches a pleasant breeze. The bed and pillows are consistently praised for comfort, and quality linen is provided. The apartment is secure, with fire extinguishers and smoke alarms.

Upon arrival, the host often provides a thoughtful welcome pack including snacks, bottled water and sometimes a bottle of prosecco, which is a practical touch for guests arriving late or with limited luggage. The apartment's kitchen is fully fitted for cooking, and the dining area sits by the window with a city view. For those who prefer to eat out, options are abundant: Bar River, Pasta Fresca Buon Gusto and Ristorante Cinese Citta D'Oro are all 0.5 km away, while Ristorante Pizzeria La Verace is 0.5 km. The neighbourhood is lively with many eateries, from Italian trattorias to Chinese restaurants and gelaterias. The host provides a curated list of recommended local restaurants during check-in.

While the apartment itself does not have a pool, spa or gym, the Bologna region offers outdoor activities such as rafting nearby. The primarily leisure value of the apartment comes from its location: the city's main cultural attractions, shopping streets and dining scene are all within walking distance, making it a suitable base for exploring Bologna and the wider Emilia-Romagna region by train.

The apartment building has a lift, which is important as the apartment is on the 7th floor. The lift provides access to the apartment level, though there is one step at the entrance. Express check-in and check-out are available, and the host is flexible with timing when possible. Wi-Fi is free and described as excellent throughout the apartment. A washing machine in the apartment is a practical bonus for longer stays or light travellers. The on-site minimarket and hairdresser add everyday convenience. Ironing facilities, a clothes rack and wardrobe provide practical storage. The host offers a taxi arrangement service to the airport and communicates promptly via messaging apps. Two sets of keys allow flexibility for guests with independent schedules.
