OLYMPIA LODGE, Calgary

This motel sits on the Trans-Canada Highway next to Shouldice Park, offering direct road access across the city and towards the Rockies. Calgary city centre is 10 km away, and Canada Olympic Park is 5 km from the property. Confederation Park Golf Course is within a 15-minute drive. A bus stop is a 2-minute walk from the hotel, providing transit into the city centre - helpful if you are arriving without a car. Free on-site parking is available for those driving, which is a practical advantage for road travellers. The immediate area is mixed-use with several dining options within walking distance.

Accommodation consists of ground-floor and upper-floor rooms with exterior entrances. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, a TV with cable channels, and a private bathroom with a bath or shower. Select rooms include a kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave, useful for longer stays or simple meal preparation. Some rooms have queen or triple bed configurations. The property is older and basic; it is better suited to travellers who prioritise a low nightly rate and practical amenities over modern decor. The on-site launderette can be convenient for extended trips.

This motel does not have its own restaurant or provide breakfast. For meals, there are multiple options within a short walk: KFC, Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, My Donair, Pazzer's Pub, and Hi-Ball Restaurant Licensed are all 0.5 km away. Humpty's Family Restaurant, NOtaBLE, and Abbey's Creations are about 0.5 km from the property. With the kitchenette available in some rooms, you can also prepare simple meals. Planning where to eat before arriving is recommended, especially for late check-ins.

The property does not have a pool, spa, gym, or similar leisure facilities. The adjacent Shouldice Park provides outdoor space for walks or relaxation. For golf, Confederation Park Golf Course is less than 15 minutes away by car. The motel's lack of on-site leisure means it is best chosen as a practical base rather than a destination for relaxation or recreation.
