Several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, including Dragon Chinese, Hokkaido Japanese, Saltlik Steakhouse, and Patisserie du Soleil. The free downtown C-Train zone makes local exploration easy, and the #300 Airport Express bus from City Hall provides airport access for $3.35. The area is walkable for downtown attractions and shopping, and buses to Banff depart from nearby stops.

Dormitory rooms are spacious with high ceilings and ample storage. Beds are comfortable but metal frames may creak. There are no curtains for privacy. Lockers are provided for valuables (small, guests supply their own lock; combination locks available at reception). Private rooms have soundproof walls, air conditioning, heating, and city views; one private room has an en-suite walk-in shower, while others share a bathroom.
