OSTELLO BELLO BOLOGNA, Bologna

The hostel sits on a quiet side street, a 10-minute walk from the main train station and a 10-15 minute walk to the historic centre and Piazza Maggiore. MAMbo museum and the Quadrilatero market area are also reachable on foot. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is 9 km away; the train station gives direct access to airport shuttles and regional buses. A supermarket is just around the corner. The location is particularly practical for train travellers and those wanting to explore the city without using public transport.

Private double, triple, and family rooms include a desk, balcony, outdoor furniture, and a quiet street view. Some rooms on upper floors offer panoramic views of the city rooftops and towers. Dormitories are well laid out: 8-bed rooms are split into two separate 4-bed pods, each with its own bathroom, providing extra privacy and quiet. All rooms feature air conditioning, heating, and private bathrooms with walk-in showers, bidets, and hairdryers. Rooms are cleaned daily, with a weekly deep clean. Beds have privacy curtains, personal lights, and USB sockets. Road-facing rooms are generally quiet due to the side-street location. Upper floors are reachable by lift.

Breakfast is a self-serve buffet with fresh pastries, warm dishes, cheese, fruit, juice, cereal, yogurt, ham, and eggs. Dietary options include vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and kosher. The bar on the ground floor is open 24 hours and serves drinks, snacks, wine, and kids' meals. Guests get a free welcome drink at check-in. The shared kitchen is large and well-equipped, with free pasta, vegetables, olive oil, and spices available for cooking. There is also a coffee shop on site offering free coffee, tea, and chilled water 24/7. A fruit basket is replenished daily.

The hostel runs a full programme of free evening events including karaoke, live music, live sports broadcasts, movie nights, cooking classes, darts, walking tours, and happy hours. The bar stays open 24 hours, and the lounge and games room have a piano, guitar, and board games. The sun terrace on the first floor is a popular spot for relaxing. The atmosphere is social without being disruptive; private rooms remain quiet due to good sound insulation between floors.

The 24-hour front desk provides express check-in/out, safety deposit boxes, and lockers. Luggage storage is available for a fee. A shared lounge/TV area and outdoor terrace with BBQ facilities are open to all. The property has a lift, wheelchair-accessible rooms, and adapted bathrooms with grab rails and emergency cords. Laundry facilities (wash and dry) are free of charge. Wi-Fi is free throughout. Meeting and business facilities are available.
