PACOROOMS, Madrid

The guest house is set on a calm side street in the Malasaña neighbourhood, yet it is only a one-minute walk from the Gran Via shopping and dining strip. Gran Via Metro station is a three-minute walk, placing all central Madrid routes within easy reach. Plaza Mayor is less than one kilometre away, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum is a 14-minute stroll. Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport is 13 kilometres from the property. The immediate area is packed with restaurants, cafés and bars, and many major attractions are reachable on foot, making a car unnecessary for most trips.

Rooms are compact but newly renovated, with tiled floors, air conditioning, heating, and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Each room features a flat-screen TV, a work desk, and an inner courtyard or garden view that keeps the room quiet even though the location is central. Room types include double rooms with one bed and triple rooms with two beds. Some rooms have a mezzanine sleeping area with a low ceiling and a basic ladder. Basement rooms are significantly smaller, have little natural light, a high small window, and can feel humid - these are best avoided for stays longer than one night or for those sensitive to enclosed spaces. Rooms above ground level are more comfortable and spacious.

The property does not offer breakfast, a restaurant, or a bar. For morning meals, Brunch Club Cafe is directly across the street and a range of other eateries - including Hattori Hanzo, StreetXo, Machaskka, and La Tasquita de Enfrente - are within a five-minute walk on the same block. The surrounding Malasaña and Gran Via area is packed with dining options for all meals, so guests have complete flexibility to eat out according to their own schedule and preference.

WiFi is free and available throughout the property. Access is handled entirely via digital codes sent before arrival - no physical keys or front desk interaction is needed. An invoice is provided. Housekeeping includes daily room cleaning and towel changes. There is no reception desk and no luggage storage service, so plan arrivals and departures accordingly. A nearby luggage storage facility is available off-site. Communication with staff is done by message, and responses are generally prompt. Safety features include CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, a security alarm, and fire extinguishers.
