RESIDENCIA ERASMUS GRACIA, Barcelona

This student residence sits in the heart of Gràcia, one of Barcelona's most sought-after neighbourhoods known for its plaza culture, independent shops and varied dining. Lesseps Metro Station (Line 3) is a two-minute walk, offering direct rail access to the city centre in about six minutes. The famous Park Güell is a 15-minute walk away, and many of Gaudí's landmarks (Casa Vicens, Casa Milà, Casa Batlló) are also within walking distance along scenic routes. The area is quiet and safe, with supermarkets, cafés and bars all within a short walk. The beach is about 40 minutes away by public transport. The property has two buildings - the main one is in a historic structure, while the rear building is a newer block.

Rooms are basic but practical - expect simple modern furniture, tiled floors, a desk, wardrobe, flat-screen TV and a private shower room with free toiletries. Some rooms feature a balcony or terrace (subject to availability), while others face an inner courtyard or parking area. The Superior category is slightly larger and more modern. Family rooms can accommodate up to six people with separate beds. Daily housekeeping is included, though consistency can vary. Rooms do not come with a minibar, kettle, hairdryer, mugs or toilet brush. The property uses student-style roll-away beds that may slide on the floor, and soundproofing between rooms and from the corridor is limited - noise from neighbours and plumbing can travel. Air conditioning is individually controlled. Borrowable items (kettle, hairdryer) are available from reception.

Breakfast is a basic continental buffet served each morning for an additional 7 EUR per person. It includes toast, cereals, cheese, jam, fruit juices, cold meats, boiled or scrambled eggs on alternating days and hot drinks. The selection is simple and consistent from day to day. There is no on-site restaurant or bar, but vending machines for snacks and drinks are available. The surrounding Gràcia streets are lined with bars, cafés and restaurants a few minutes' walk away, serving a wide range of cuisines at lower prices than the city centre.

Outdoor spaces include a sun terrace with sun loungers, a garden with outdoor furniture and a picnic area. A shared lounge with TV offers a social space for reading or relaxing. There is no pool, spa, or fitness centre. The leisure focus is on the surrounding Gràcia neighbourhood - parks, plazas, and Park Güell are within easy walking distance.

WiFi is free in all areas and generally reliable. The 24-hour front desk can assist with check-in, enquiries and taxi arrangements. Daily housekeeping is included; laundry service (additional charge) is available on request. Luggage storage is offered for a fee, and paid lockers (2 EUR per use) are available on site. A safety deposit box, fax/photocopying (fee) and a tour desk are also on hand. Private on-site parking requires advance reservation and costs around 23.50 EUR per day. Lift access is available, and accessible parking spaces are provided. Cots can be provided on request. No pets are allowed.
