PALAZZO LA SCALA, Venice

The hotel is located in a quiet alley just a short walk from the Rialto water-bus stop (line 2 from Tronchetto), making it easy to reach from the main transport hubs. St. Mark's Square is about 300 metres away, and a wide range of restaurants and shops are within a two-minute walk. The area is central but sufficiently tucked away to avoid the heaviest tourist crowds, offering a calm base for exploring the city on foot. For guests arriving by car, the nearest parking is at Tronchetto (paid); from there, take vaporetto line 2 to Rialto, then walk three minutes.

The property does not serve breakfast, and there is no restaurant on the premises. A wide variety of restaurants and cafes are within a three-minute walk, including Trattoria Pizzeria Ai Fabbri, Ostaria a La Campana, Da Mamo, CIBO Venezia, and Bar e Restaurante Casanova, all about 0.5 km away. For a coffee or light bite, Cafe Florian (0.5 km) and Caffeteria Doria (0.5 km) are nearby. This means eating out is essential, but the immediate area provides plenty of choice at different price points.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all areas, an invoice provided service, and luggage storage (additional charge). Daily housekeeping is provided, and towels are changed regularly. Safety features include fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, security alarm, key card access, and a safety deposit box (free). Fax/photocopying is available for an additional charge. The front desk staff are praised for their helpfulness with transport and local advice. Early check-in is possible if arranged in advance.
