Pelican Pointe sits less than a block from the public beach access and is surrounded by dining and entertainment: Sandbar, Post Corner Pizza, Sharky's Beach Bar, and Taco Bus are within a 5-minute stroll. The Jolley Trolley stops directly in front, providing easy access to Pier 60 (11 minutes on foot), Clearwater Marine Aquarium (3 km), and the rest of the strip. Parking is free on site (reservation needed), making it easy to arrive by car and leave it for the duration of your stay. The location is ideal for walkers - you can reach dozens of restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, and the marina without a car. The beach is across a busy street, so families with small children should take care crossing.

The property offers three room types: a 35 m² Double Suite sleeping up to 6 (two full beds plus a sleeper futon), a 34 m² Standard Queen sleeping up to 4 (queen bed plus futon, pool-view), and a 32 m² Studio Queen sleeping up to 4 (quieter corner location). All rooms include a private bathroom with toiletries, a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and dining area, plus a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. No rooms have a balcony. Some units have a shared outdoor seating area with two chairs. Rooms facing the road or pool may experience outside noise, and hallway lighting can seep under doors. The building is older and some rooms have reported musty smells or mold from the air conditioner; requesting a room away from known problem areas is advised. Room servicing is provided daily.

The hotel has no restaurant or breakfast service. The kitchenette allows for preparing simple meals and snacks using the microwave, toaster, and full-size fridge. For eating out, Sandbar, Post Corner Pizza, Sharky's Beach Bar, Jimmy's Fish House & Iguana Bar, and Taco Bus are all within a 5- to 10-minute walk. A coffee shop is also nearby. Guests who prefer to self-cater should note there is no cooktop or stovetop in the room. A vending machine dispenses drinks and snacks on site.

The heated outdoor pool is surrounded by a sun terrace with loungers and a safety fence, and is open all year. Pool floats are often available for guest use. A table tennis table provides additional recreation. The public bath is free. There is no spa or wellness centre. For beach lovers, the Gulf beach is across the street, and the hotel provides beach towels and sometimes beach chairs or sand toys for children. Parasailing, boating, and jet ski rentals are available nearby at Pier 60.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the property free of charge. Parking is free and on site but requires a reservation. The front desk is staffed during check-in hours, and daily housekeeping is included. A shared lounge with TV is available, and guests have access to laundry facilities (washers and dryers). A filtered-water station is located on the ground floor. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. The elevator may be non-functional during certain periods; guests with mobility concerns should confirm its status before booking. 24-hour security and CCTV cover the exterior.
