PENSION MITTE, Berlin

The pension is situated in lively Mitte, directly next to Bernauer Straße U-Bahn station, providing fast access to Alexanderplatz and Museum Island within 15 minutes on public transport. The Berlin Wall Memorial is a 100-metre walk, and the Prenzlauer Berg district is nearby for strolling. Multiple shops, bakeries, and snack bars are on the ground floor, and the main train station is also within easy reach. The area is very lively, with trams and U-Bahn directly at the door, but this also means street noise can be noticeable at night.

Rooms are spacious, with a large bed, a desk, a seating area, and a big closet. Each room has a lock on the door for privacy. The shared bathroom (shared between 3 rooms) includes a bath, shower, and hairdryer. The shared kitchen is fully equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, oven, and cookware. The apartment has old-Berlin character with creaky floorboards and high ceilings. Rooms are heated and soundproofed. Some rooms have a balcony. Note that the apartment is a standard Berlin apartment, with rooms rented individually; noise from other residents and the street can be heard.

The pension does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant. A shared, fully equipped kitchen allows guests to prepare their own meals. Nearby shops and bakeries on the ground floor offer convenient options for buying food and drink, and several cafés and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk on Bernauer Straße.

Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms via a direct connection to the router. The building has a lift. Safety features include fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and key access. An ATM/cash machine is on site. There is no luggage storage, but lockers are available at the main train station. Check-in is straightforward, though late arrivals must be arranged in advance. The owner or staff are responsive to messages, and early check-in is often possible upon request.
