PLAZA RIO A, Madrid

The apartment is situated in a residential area of Usera, a practical base with good public transport connections. The nearest metro and bus stops are within a short walk, allowing a 30-minute walk to the city centre or a quick journey via frequent services. Several museums are close: Reina Sofia Museum (3 km), Prado Museum (4 km), and Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (4 km). El Retiro Park is 4 km away. For daily needs, a large shopping centre and many supermarkets are nearby, along with a variety of restaurants within 300-500 metres. The Manzanares riverfront promenade and its parks are a short walk, offering a green area for relaxation.

The apartment has one bedroom with a double bed and a double sofa bed in the living area. The sofa bed is short (unsuitable for people over 1.65 m) and uncomfortable for two adults, making the apartment better suited for up to two adults or a couple with a small child. The private bathroom is compact: the toilet is very close to the sink and may feel wobbly as it is not firmly fixed to the floor. Air conditioning is provided but has been known to leak water, so placing a cloth or glass under the unit is advisable. The kitchen is fully equipped with a hob, cooking utensils, a washing machine, and basic pantry items such as salt, sugar, and coffee. The balcony is accessible. The apartment has heating, a flat-screen TV, and allergy-free rooms. Noise insulation is poor; sound from neighbours and street activities can be heard clearly.

The apartment's kitchen provides a hob, essential cookware, and a washing machine. Basic supplies such as salt, sugar, and coffee are usually provided. For guests who prefer not to cook, the surrounding Usera district offers a variety of restaurants within a 300-500 metre walk, including KFC, La Casa del Pulpo, and several Bolivian and Spanish options. A large supermarket is nearby for groceries. There are no restaurant, bar, or breakfast services on site.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment free of charge; however, the signal can be very weak or non-functional, and the host may not resolve connectivity issues promptly. Air conditioning and heating are provided. The property has 24-hour security, fire extinguishers, and key-access entry. There is no parking on site, and nearby parking is limited (blue zone allows only 4 hours). The apartment is on an upper floor with no lift. Reception services are limited; an invoice is provided upon request. The cleaning at check-in has been inconsistent, with reports of dirty towels, cigarette butts on the balcony, and hair on the toilet. No extra towels or additional cleaning are provided during the stay. The door lock has been reported as loose, which may affect the sense of security.
